Once in a while, we face tough decisions in life, especially when it comes to saying goodbye. Today, we want to share a touching story about Carlos Fresco and his beloved dog, Monty. They shared a special bond, especially during the last 18 months when Monty battled leukemia. Carlos stood by Monty until his final moments.

Monty fought leukemia for 18 months, but sadly, it returned recently, and he became weaker rapidly. Carlos knew Monty didn’t have much time left. So, he decided to give Monty one last memorable adventure. Together, they went to Pen y Fan, a peak in Brecon Beacons, Wales.

Monty loved going on walks, especially in the hills. Even though he was weak, he enjoyed the attention and love from the people they met along the way. Strangers were kind and offered to help push Monty’s wheelchair. Many of them shed tears because they understood the pain of losing a furry friend.
