98-Year-Old Mom Moves into Care Home to Care for 80-Year-Old Son

The bond between a mother and her child is incredibly strong, and Ada Keating, 98, proves just how deep this love runs. She recently moved into Moss View care home in Liverpool to be with her son Tom, 80, and take care of him.

Ada and her late husband Harry had four children – Tom, Barbara, Margi, and Janet. Tom, who used to work as a painter and decorator, moved to Moss View in 2016 when he needed more help.

Ada and Tom enjoy spending time together, playing games, and watching their favorite TV show, Emmerdale. Ada, who used to work as a nurse, makes sure to say goodnight to Tom every evening and greets him with a hug in the morning. Tom is happy to have his mom close by and appreciates her care.

Philip Daniels, the manager of Moss View, is touched by the special bond between Ada and Tom. He says it’s rare to see a mother and her child together in a care home and wants to make their time together as special as possible.

Ada sums it up perfectly: “You never stop being a mom.”
