Alexander and Jeanette Toczko, a sweet elderly couple from California, who were married for a remarkable 75 years, recently left this world within hours of each other while holding hands. Their beautiful love story, which lasted almost 80 years, touched many hearts.
Alexander, aged 95, and Jeanette, also 95, started their love journey when they were just 8 years old. In 1940, they tied the knot and embarked on a journey of love and companionship that lasted a lifetime.
Sadly, a few weeks ago, Alexander had a fall and broke his hip, leaving him bedridden. Around the same time, Jeanette fell ill as well. But even in their frailty, their love remained strong.
The local hospice provided them with special care beds so they could be together, holding each other’s hands. It was a beautiful scene of love and togetherness.
Their devoted daughter, Aimee Toczko-Cushman, captured the poignant moment when her parents shared their last embrace. It was a testament to their enduring love for each other.
