After spending an incredible 75 years together, Alexander and Jeanette Toczko, an elderly couple from California, passed away within hours of each other, still holding each other close. Their daughter, Aimee Toczko-Cushman, captured their touching final moments.
Alexander, aged 95, and Jeanette, also 95, had known each other since they were 8 years old and tied the knot in 1940. Recently, [ nearly 2015 } Alexander suffered a broken hip and was confined to his bed. Around the same time, Jeanette also fell ill.
With the help of a local hospice, they were provided with special care beds so they could be together, holding each other’s hands until the end. Their love story, filled with decades of companionship and devotion, came to a poignant close as they left this world within hours of each other.
